Principals

David Altenhofen, AIA

David Altenhofen, AIA is the Technical Design Principal for RMJM Hillier. He is a nationally recognized expert in architectural technology who has been widely published in many magazines and journals, and frequently lectures at colleges, universities and professional organizations. David has contributed to numerous award-winning projects, from small pavilions to multi-use urban centers, both in the US and abroad and is responsible for oversight and technical administration for a billion dollars worth of construction each year.

Richard Bailes

Richard Bailes is RMJM Hillier's Chief Financial Officer and a member of the RMJM Hillier Board. He has extensive experience in international financial practices having previously served as Group Director of Risk Management at Signet Group Plc in London and has also held positions with international consulting firms. Richard's position focuses both on the financial health of the firm as well as the strategic and operational direction of future business.

Martin M. Bloomenthal, FAIA, CCS

Marty M. Bloomenthal, FAIA, CCS is the Specifications Principal for RMJM Hillier. He has been a member of AIA's MASTERSPEC Review Committee since 1992, serving as Chair during 1997 and 1998.  He lectures annually on professional practice topics at Princeton University's Graduate School of Architecture, and is a frequent speaker for audiences such as the Construction Law Section of the New Jersey Bar Association.  He is widely published in national technical journals and has won a number of national awards, the most prestigious of which was his election to AIA's College of Fellows.

Karen K. Blose, Esq.

Karen K. Blose, Esq. is the Commercial Director, U.S. and General Counsel for RMJM Hillier. Previously Karen served as in-house counsel for a large, publicly traded engineering and construction company. She has significant experience in the architectural industry and is a member of the American Bar Association Forum on Construction, the American Corporate Counsel Association and the Maryland and Pennsylvania State Bar Associations.
